Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, if ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
— John 8: 31-32

We currently live in a world that is filled with so many lies and misinformation. This derives from the works of our enemy, which is why it is very important for us to stay connected to the Word of God.  Everything that God says, the enemy tries to refute and change it into a lie. Our adversary, Satan, is the father of lies and has been deceiving God’s creation from the beginning of time. We should all know by now what happened to the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, who fell into a trap created upon lies from the enemy in the Garden of Eden. This leads us to the world of sin and lies that we live in today.

However, because we have a merciful and loving God, he wrapped himself in flesh and sent his only begotten Son into the world to redeem us from this life of sin and lies. This is to remind you that the enemy’s sole purpose, through deception, is to steal, kill, and destroy but our Lord gave his life for us so that we may have it more abundantly.

Here are a few examples of lies that the enemy will try to use against you along with reminders of the Truth of our Lord, Jesus Christ:

  • When the enemy tells you: “You are worthless, and God doesn’t love you.”

YOU SAY: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” - John 3:16

  • When the enemy tells you: “God is ok with sin and unrighteousness,” “you have time to keep living in sin.”

YOU SAY: “That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness” - 2 Thessalonians 2:12

  • When the enemy tells you: “Things will not get better,” “you will not recover,”

YOU SAY: “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not evil, to give you an expected end.”- Jeremiah 29:11

  • When the enemy tells: “Your sins will never be forgiven.” “It is too late, just give up.”

YOU SAY: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

  • When the enemy tells you: “You don’t have to pray”

  • YOU SAY: “Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.” Mark 14:38

Saints of God, it is important to meditate on the Word of God each day. At all times, be equipped with the whole armor of God and watch out for the lies created by our enemy. When the enemy attacks you with one of his many lies, use the Sword that the Lord has equipped you with (which is the Word of God) to defend yourself.

Just remember that the Truth of God will always set you free.

God Bless you all.
