Our History
In the year 1996, in Kingston, Jamaica, the word of God came through Prophetess Avis Wright that the Lord will establish a church called Bountiful Blessings; a place where we all can worship freely. At the time, it seemed very unthinkable because our home was Bethel Bible Way Apostolic Church where we developed the foundation of righteousness and grew a deep attachment to the ministry. Years later, we received another prophecy that the time had come for us to leave Bethel Bible Way. The word of God was accepted, but was met with heart wrenching sadness because we had to leave our home, the Bible Way community. After receiving that word, God allowed most of us to migrate to the United States. During this time, while we were waiting on the Lord to tell us our next step, some individuals began to stray but thank God Prophetess Avis Wright, Prophetess Mary Wright, Deaconess Myrtle White and others kept praying.
A few years later, God began to give clear instructions through Prophetess Mary Wright that the church would first begin in the United States. On December 5th 2015, that word came to pass when Pastor Williams and Minister Smith stumbled upon our current location, 127-08 Merrick Blvd, Queens NY. Bountiful Blessings Apostolic Ministries would have been our name but due to American laws, we were unable to use that title. However, God was faithful and Blessed us with our current moniker, Bountiful Harvest Apostolic Ministries which is especially fitted for the time, as the harvest is ripe but the laborers are few. This church was established to bring sinners back to Christ and since our inception, we have baptized over 40 people and have been adding to the church daily as God spoke so many years ago.
Since our first service, five years ago, with 26 people, we have grown to have over 150 people in attendance and counting. This rapid growth has led us to establish several departments including a vibrant Men Ministry, a committed Women Ministry, an electrifying Youth Ministry, a dedicated Prayer Ministry, an attentive Sunday School Ministry, a lively Music Ministry, and a passionate Outreach Ministry. God’s hand has been evident throughout all the endeavors of Bountiful Harvest as he has also allowed us to have a social media presence that reaches people from all over the world including Africa, Cuba, Papa New Guinea and many more.
In this Ministry, God’s word is first in our lives as he chose the frequency of our Lord’s Supper, which is to be held the first Sunday of every month. He also mandated that individuals who are filled with the Holy Ghost should be a part of the choir and finally, he gave us our closing remarks. He has allowed people from different parts of the globe to have a place where true worship can be done freely and expressively; building a family of God where the love of people immediately follows after the love of Christ. As we continue to follow God’s order and love our neighbors as ourselves, we wait for his promise of a building to materialize. Once we get that physical location that we can call our own, it will bring us great joy to close every service and event held with our closing remarks:
